As Valentine’s Day rolls around, it is time to come up with new, creative ideas for dates. Don’t go for the stereotypical dinner and movie. Opt for something new, something exciting that you can do on a romantic or a platonic date.

For the thrill seekers, axe throwing is the way to go. Don’t you want to know how well your date will protect you during the zombie apocalypse? It is the perfect date for those who have a partner who loves sharp objects and has good aim. Please be careful.

For those who love the supernatural, visit a psychic together. You will learn if you and your date are meant to be, either from how they react to the psychic reading or by what the psychic tells you. It’s a make or break kind of date.

For those on a budget, magnet fishing is perfect! Magnet fishing, on the other hand, is not a common activity but is perfect for the vegetarians who still enjoy fishing. You simply attach a strong magnet to the end of a fishing pole and drag it along the bottom of any body of water while you kayak or canoe around (lakes work best) to find hidden metal treasures. This activity will result in free treasures and a pleasant, outdoorsy date.

For our crafty gals, it is time to get out your Borax for Valentine’s slime. What could be better than spending your Valentine’s day making colorful slime videos for the Oddly Satisfying Snapchat story. It is the perfect couples’ craft and is the perfect Instagramable date.

This Valentine’s Day, do something different and exciting. Make it Instagrammable. Make it cheap. Make it fun.
