The basketball team kickstarted their season this winter with three wins over ECS, MHEA, and SGIS. With an impressive total of 18 points scored in the winning game over ECS,  Kai Keith (11) was nominated and awarded the Commercial Appeal Athlete of the Week of November 29 - December 6.

Keith said, “Basketball has been very different this year, of course, because of coronavirus. One of the most difficult changes we’ve had is wearing masks during practice. It’s definitely been a challenge. But I think our team has found a lot of success and accomplishment in being able to improve and win games during this time.”

The swimming season is projected to start in January. Maggie McFadden (11) said, “Although a lot is still up in the air, I am definitely looking forward to this season. I am excited to race, in any way we can, and just see how well we can do since obviously this year is going to be very different. I think it will be awesome to see how our team is able to overcome the challenges and do our best to succeed.”

The bowling team had a shortened season this year, bowling twice each against Briarcrest, Hutchison, St. Benedict, and St. Agnes. The team pulled out two wins this season against Hutchison and St. Agnes. The highlight of the season was the big win against St. Agnes when Catherine Ferguson (12) had a personal best game of 202 that included six strikes in a row.

Regan Lewis (11) said, “I think something that has been executed well this season was being very supportive towards everyone, especially if people were having off days. I also think we did a great job on really focusing on what we do at practices and bringing that to the matches better than we had before.”
