By Lily SmithOn Nov. 3, cross country competed in the state cross country meet in Nashville. Overall, the team received ninth place in their division, an improvement from 11th place last year. With a state team made up of five sophomores and two freshman, the cross country team has a great foundation for growth in coming years. Additionally, three runners, Caroline Griffin, Mia Townsend and Jessica Joshi, beat their personal records during the race. With improvement from the entire team this season, Coach Hensarling said, “I’m super proud of all of the girls this year, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this team.”
