The St. Mary’s Upper School Theater Department is very excited to debut this year’s musical, Little Women. Based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel about the four March sisters during the Civil War, the musical production adds songs like “Our Finest Dreams” sung by Jo (Dani Chaum), Beth (Julia Preston), Amy (Lilly Russell), and Meg (Lauren Ledger). Other songs include “Here Alone” sung by Marmee (Charlotte Livesay) and “Take a Chance on Me” sung by Laurie (Will Lowery).
Director Mrs. Madden says, “I chose the beloved play because of the strong female characters and the songs. And, I knew that we have enough the talent to successfully produce it.” The small cast has been working hard since early October so they can deliver a great production. The play will run in Rose Theater on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday November 20 at 2 p.m.
