Junior yearbook photos bring the 2000s back

You may have been transported to the days of Britney Spears and lower-than-low-waisted jeans if you walked by any juniors on Jan. 22. Butterfly clips, chokers and sunglasses are just some of the accessories the juniors sported in this year’s yearbook pictures.

Every year, juniors get the privilege of deciding on a special theme for their yearbook pictures. Previous creative themes have consisted of wigs, construction and goth. This year, the class of 2022 chose the theme of 2000s fashion and showed a wide range of different 2000s interpretations and costumes, each equally original and personal to the wearer. Everyone got to choose her own pose and make the photo her own.

Kai Keith (11), seen putting on lip gloss in the pictures above, said, “I really enjoyed the theme. I don’t think that junior yearbook pictures would be the same without the iconic themes that we do each year.”
