BREAKING NEWS: Dr. Steakley has announced today a change to our dress code. T-shirts with college and local schools’ names are now allowed, but with the following caveat: students are not allowed to wear shirts with references to sororities or fraternities.

As some quick examples, you can now wear shirts from:
  • Any local high school (like St. Mary’s, CBHS, MUS, White Station)
  • College
    • But without references to fraternities or sororities

As you know, the dress code is always a hot topic, but this change shows how, as Dr. Steakley commented, that St. Mary’s is committed to being foremost a “learning environment, where students should feel comfortable to learn.”

Even so, Dr. Steakley would like students to know that this change is a trial-run. As a quick memory-jog, the t-shirts could be banned just like leggings and yoga pants were at the beginning of last year. However, Dr. Steakley offers another piece of advice: “Stick to what it is, and it can work.”

The above poll's results as of September 15th:
