The weekend of Feb. 18 was the Tennessee High School Mock Trial Grand Division Competition, which for the first time was completely virtual. There were three division competitions (West, Middle and East) with a total of more than sixty teams. Two of those teams were from St. Mary’s.
For the first time since 2017, the two St. Mary’s Mock Trial teams beat every other team in their division and faced off against each other for the final trial. Now, both teams are going to the state competition.
There were multiple division-wide individual awards as well. In the Western Grand Division, Ria Patel won Best Plaintiff Attorney 1st Place, Maggie Rosenblum won Best Plaintiff Attorney 3rd Place and Anjali Shah won Best Plaintiff Witness 1st Place.
The team has worked diligently for this all year and St. Mary’s is excited to cheer them on during the state competition, which will be March 19-21.
