Jennifer Ruffin is a freshman who is ready to bring focus not only to the St. Mary’s community but also to the Tatler audience. With experience working with Bridges and sitting on the Shelby County Youth Council, Jennifer brings to the Tatler Opinions Staff beliefs and political views that she would love to one day carry to a job at CNN or Washington, D.C. Jennifer is passionate about using her voice as a black girl in America to make a difference, specifically in working towards equal education for all. Jennifer would have loved to use her powerful voice to help enact change during the 1960s, a time when outspoken people, such as herself, had no second thoughts. When not busy pursuing passions, Jennifer enjoys hanging out with her mom and walking at Shelby Farms. Next time you see something written about Jennifer, it might be in Essence magazine.
