By Kiki WhartenbyTheatre Memphis' Beauty and the Beast is a phenomenal production featuring fellow St. Mary's sophomore Bizzy Walker and sixth grader Sophie Yonker. Hear more from our St. Mary's insiders as to how the play has inspired them and their favorite moments. Beauty and the Beast at Theatre Memphis is an incredible show to say the least. From the choreography, to the costumes, everything was beautifully produced. Bizzy Walker, a sophomore, is in the ensemble, along with Sophie Yonker, a sixth grader. When asked about her favorite thing about being in the show, Bizzy explained how much she had “fun getting to know everyone, especially Ashley McCormack," who stars as Belle. Bizzy said that Ashley has been an inspiration to her and is so glad she has gotten closer with her. The entire cast and crew has put in hours of work and rehearsals to produce this show. I enjoyed all of the scenes but my personal favorite was "Be Our Guest." The choreography was amazing and the beautiful costumes just brought the show to life. They were all so colorful and elaborate and truly grabbed the attention of the audience. This show is running from September 2nd through the 25th, and I encourage everyone to come and enjoy all of the talent this show has to offer!
