Where Tatler shares its humor

Despite the hype for Halloweekend, the St. Mary’s seniors had something else on their minds for October 31: the November 1 college application deadline.
Candy wrappers disregarded on the floor, costumes forgotten, midnight on Halloween was rapidly approaching and seniors couldn’t care less about the trick-or-treaters. I know – it’s so unlikely for St. Mary’s turkeys to wait until the last minute – yet, somehow, nary a senior got a wink of sleep this Halloween.
Were you excited for the Haunted Corn Maze? Too bad. Here’s seventeen supplements to write in 24 hours that all have to be perfect and not in any way similar.
Wanted to go to the costume party of the century? LOL, no. You still have to fill out the activities section of the Common App that you’ve been putting off for 9 weeks!
Finally done with your college app and ready to go to sleep? That’s funny. You still have an entire book to read for that class you got behind in last week.
Now, for all you juniors reading this, laughing at our pain and suffering, this is the opposite of funny. We’ll see who’s laughing next year when you do the exact same thing while we’re off at college.
But, for right now, if you’ll excuse me, I have an application to submit.
